Rena Sukhdeo-Singh, MD, Leads Primary Stroke Center at Easton

Dr. Rena Sukhdeo-Singh

Dr. Rena Sukhdeo-Singh now serves as Medical Director of the Primary Stroke Center at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton. Dr. Sukhdeo-Singh’s appointment followed the departure of Dr. M. Walid Kamsheh, the Center’s former medical director, last fall, in order to focus on patients at UM Shore Medical Group-Neurology and Sleep Medicine, where he remains Medical Director.

A board-certified neurologist, Dr. Sukhdeo-Singh completed a Fellowship in Vascular Neurology (Stroke) at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland before joining UM Shore Medical Group – Neurology and Sleep Medicine in August 2021. She also has co-authored multiple articles and presentations in the field of neurology and stroke, including a book chapter on post-stroke depression.

The Primary Stroke Center at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association’s Get with the Guidelines Stroke Recognition program, which recognizes hospitals for providing the most effective stroke treatment according to nationally acknowledged, research-based guidelines.
