UM Shore Medical Center at Easton has maintained its “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for a fourth consecutive period. The Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization, assigns an “A” through “F” grades to hospitals across the country based on over 30 performance measures evaluating how well they protect patients from preventable medical errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as on systems that hospitals have in place to prevent harm.
Fewer than a third of hospitals nationwide earn the “A” grade and even fewer achieve that milestone in consecutive grading periods.
